Somewhere in Hessen...Day 12: Club Night # ONE: Casa Latina
The Travel Ninjas love to party. We drink, dance, flirt and have a general good time wherever we are in the world.
Tonight we experienced Club Latina.
Native Ninja said this might be a hot night for us. Plenty of peeps had rsvp'd on the Facebook page (and from some of the profiles that rsvp'd I was excited to meet them...). We dressed carefully and headed out full of expectation.
On the way there we were treated to a beautiful rainbow sunset...the cam could not quite capture how amazing this sunset was:
Ok...nature viewing was over....we headed to the Verein!
The club was gorgeous, the music was loud and right...but why was it empty? We were fashionably late (party started at 9, we got there at 11)...where was everyone? The girl at the door said it should "pick up in about an hour".
In the meantime I was struck by this quote etched on the wall:
and of course...the required "kissy-face picture" to pass the time...
Trying to catch the Native Ninja in the club lights...
Finally some people showed up. Not a lot of people, but enough that when "Too Close" by Next starting spinning we finally danced enough to sweat! Yes! We went outside for some fresh air. This club was beautiful inside and out.
Although the crowd never quite "popped" we had a good time at Club Latina. The drinks were strong, the waitstaff was friendly/gorgeous and there was even advertising on the paper towels in the bathroom! Propaganda or clever marketing trick? You decide!
They usually have Salsa dancing every Friday night and brunch on Sundays. I truly hope we can make it back there before I (the Visiting Ninja) go home.
Come club with us! Let's dance the night away in a foreign land!
