Germany...Somewhere in Hessen...Day 7
The Travel Ninjas have been together a solid week thus far. This is a random post about what we are doing and seeing.
Luckily Ninja B. is a native of Germany so I'm hipped to the "insider" news. The special of the season food-wise? White asparagus. Don't knock it till you try it! These morsels are covered with Hollandaise sauce, paired with fish sticks and mayo for dipping (think tartar sauce and don't judge me!). Last night's delish dinner!

Spring/Summer Only white asparagus |
Today we traveled to a nearby town to look at apartments. Ninja B. is ready to relocate and the search is on! Unfortunately I did not get pics of the first apartment. It was cute, clean and compact, but not quite where the Ninja wants to reside.
We headed to the next spot...but had a few minutes to spare so we stopped for ice cream.

Named after one of my favorite singers...lol |
The treat we had is called "Spaghetti Ice Cream" because of the shape of the ice cream (spaghetti looking) and the strawberry sauce ("tomato sauce"). The cookie was delicious and the spoon was semi-square. I was in heaven!

Lecker! = Yummy! |
This was the view from our patio table. Ninja B said..."summer"....
The blue building in the background is city hall....I guess that's why they are tearing up the whole sidewalk.
We headed to the 2nd apartment. This apartment felt strange to me. The owner said the previous tenant moved out 2 days prior. I think that tenant was a ghost, because the apartment "felt" completely un-lived in. Have you ever walked into a place for rent and immediately say "no"? That was this place.
Let's start with the walls...
|
The lime rectangle...please google the art piece "the black square"to see why I got mad. |
|
I could not stop staring at this....tic tac toe? art? wtf? |
Ninja B was asking every question imaginable. I call her Chefin....."The Boss"
|
"This place..." |
All in all it was a fun day checking out properties. The search continues, so stay tuned...
